(Fantasy-fiction) There’s this small village guy who has the power to control some birds. Everyone thinks he’s useless and doubts his ability to succeed on this quest he’s planning. Anyway, the end is this scene where the sorcerer minotaur is about to steal the Sceptre of Power and the hero guy (who we find out is some sort of “chosen one”) is laying wounded and semi-concious. Just then he notices a kestrel perched nearby. He summons the kestrel to swoop down and retrieve the sceptre. But alas; he can’t control kestrels. Just pigeons, grouse, quails, doves, and woodcocks.
